The Dorch Engineering B58 Gen 1 Flex Fuel ECA Kit is the ultimate plug-and-play ethanol content analyser for Gen1 B58-powered BMWs, fully compatible with the latest MHD and Bootmod3 (BM3) tuning platforms. Thanks to recent software advancements, Gen1 B58 tuning now supports true CAN-based Flex Fuel tuning, eliminating the need for outdated Bluetooth ethanol sensors.
This CAN-based ethanol sensor doesn’t just monitor ethanol content — it directly communicates with the DME, enabling full Flex Fuel operation. With a Flex Fuel tune, your DME will automatically adjust your fuel, ignition, and boost settings based on real-time ethanol content, smoothly transitioning from a high-powered E85 map to a pump gas map, or anything in between. This seamless integration means no more manual calculations, map switching, or guesswork at the pump — your B58 is always running the optimal tune for the fuel blend in your tank.
The Dorch B58 Gen 1 Flex Fuel ECA Kit is 100% plug-and-play, requiring zero cutting or wire tapping, and is completely reversible. The wiring harness integrates directly with the OEM wiring, and the ethanol sensor and fuel lines tuck neatly away, allowing for full reinstallation of OEM sound insulation and engine covers — keeping your engine bay looking factory fresh.
To maximize accuracy, the ethanol sensor is mounted as close to the injectors as possible, ensuring that fuel mixture changes are detected and communicated to the DME instantly for precise real-time adjustments.
With a DIY-friendly, detailed installation manual, the kit can be installed in approximately 30 minutes when combined with a HPFP upgrade or about 1 hour on its own, depending on experience.

We examine all orders prior to dispatching to customers. All products are tested on specific vehicles in our workshop before available for sale.
We strongly advise you to check all contents when the package is delivered to make sure no damage has occurred during transportation and report any problems to us within 7 days. This will allow us to raise a claim with the shipping company as they have a time limit for reporting any shipping damages. Failing to inform us about this might result in your claims being declined.
In rare cases, if you find that a product has been damaged in transit or a fitment issue, please contact us by email [email protected] and we will resolve your query in quickest manner possible. When contacting us please provide as much information as possible and including any supporting photos if available.
RETURNS
- Buyers will be responsible for return postage.
- We recommend using a traceable service with insurance for returning any unwanted goods back to us.
- We cannot exchange or refund any goods returned in damaged condition.
- We will not accept any returned products which were modified/altered in any way by the customer.
