The factory intercooler struggles to maintain efficiency during hard driving or high-power applications, leading to rising intake air temperatures (IATs) and power loss. The MMR Performance INTERCOOLER BMW N55 solves these issues with a Bar and Plate stepped core design, offering nearly double the core volume and a 70% larger frontal area compared to the OE unit. This substantial increase in cooling capacity eliminates heat soak and allows your engine to deliver peak performance, lap after lap.
The stepped core features internal turbulators to maximize cooling efficiency, while CFD-optimized end tanks ensure optimal airflow across the core, maintaining responsiveness and minimizing turbo lag. This carefully engineered design strikes the perfect balance between maximum cooling and minimal pressure drop, giving you consistent power output without sacrificing throttle response.
We offer two types of intercooler for N55 Fx cars. Alongside this ‘High Performance’ version, MMR also offers the ‘Competition’ intercooler, which utilizes a Tube and Fin construction. While the Competition unit is ideal for track-dedicated setups, we recommend the High Performance version for most road applications. Its higher thermal mass provides greater thermal capacity, ensuring consistent cooling over long drives. Additionally, the High Performance version is the more cost-effective option, making it the ideal choice for everyday driving with occasional spirited performance.

We examine all orders prior to dispatching to customers. All products are tested on specific vehicles in our workshop before available for sale.
We strongly advise you to check all contents when the package is delivered to make sure no damage has occurred during transportation and report any problems to us within 7 days. This will allow us to raise a claim with the shipping company as they have a time limit for reporting any shipping damages. Failing to inform us about this might result in your claims being declined.
In rare cases, if you find that a product has been damaged in transit or a fitment issue, please contact us by email info@vogueautomotive.com and we will resolve your query in quickest manner possible. When contacting us please provide as much information as possible and including any supporting photos if available.
RETURNS
- Buyers will be responsible for return postage.
- We recommend using a traceable service with insurance for returning any unwanted goods back to us.
